Dontnod has also fixed a bug present in episode 2 that caused players to lose their save files. If a player starts midway through the game, previous choices will be made randomly. Notably, players can now choose to start with an episode of their choosing. The third episode release brings a plethora of technical fixes to Life is Strange 2. It's currently unknown if Life is Strange 2 will further connect to Captain Spirit in later episodes. Life is Strange 2's second episode connected the story to Dontnod's summer standalone, Captain Spirit, when the Diaz brothers met Captain Spirit's protagonist, Chris Erikson in the present day. Episode 4 will release on August 22 and then Life Is Strange 2 is expected to conclude with the fifth installment on December 3. There will be a bit of a wait for new episodes after this one. This episode acts as the midpoint of Life Is Strange 2.
